ECB U15 County Championship

Wales take 2009 title

Wales were crowned ECB's U15 County Champions for 2009 after poor weather ruled out any results on the final day of three at the Finals at Kibworth CC.

Nottinghamshire reached 107 for six from 40 overs, with Sam Johnson hitting 54, before their match with Lancashire fell foul of the east Midlands rain. While Wales' final match with Kent was also abandoned as a draw.

And so Wales repeated their success of 2007 with their latest crop of talented youngsters celebrating U15 county championship honours in the Kibworth pavilion.
